Job description
The Business Development Manager will be a key member of the business development team, driving the expansion of the CROSS portfolio through the acquisition of new properties that enhance Cross Hotels & Resorts’ offerings. They will contribute to steering the company towards achieving growth objectives, particularly in expanding the Cross brands within key strategic markets in Thailand.

Responsibilities will encompass identifying new greenfield and rebrand opportunities, as well as pitching, and securing management contracts. The Business Development Manager will report to the Director, Business Development - Thailand at CROSS.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in meeting, presenting, and engaging with key executives, including owners, directors, and CEOs, of both independent and branded hotels and resorts.
Core tasks, duties and responsibilities
1. Actively seeking out and following up on potential deals for new hotels, whether through leasing or management contracts.
2. Establishing and nurturing positive connections with property owners, agents, associations, local authorities, and other relevant stakeholders to generate new business contacts.
3. Preparation of presentation materials, including hotel concept proposals and feasibility studies, which involve competition analysis and site assessments for potential projects.
4. Managing the negotiation process and finalising terms of lease and management contracts with hotel owners.
5. Analysing and researching potential avenues for business growth and opportunities.
6. Undertaking any other hotel development-related tasks and additional responsibilities as required to support business growth.
7. Regular business travel within Thailand as required to meet with potential owners.

In addition, the Business Development Manager will:

1. Source, evaluate, and secure new business opportunities aligned with company and brand growth objectives.
2. Collaborate with other departments as needed during the assessment of potential hotels.
3. Lead negotiations for deals, including lease or management agreements.
4. Stay updated on current and future hotel development pipelines.
5. Oversee the seamless transition and integration of newly affiliated hotels.
6. Maintain a deep understanding of the hospitality industry and its evolving trends.
Job qualifications & skills
1. Thai nationality.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in hospitality business development, hospitality sales or real estate.
3. Demonstrated proficiency in negotiation with a proven track record of successfully securing new business.
4. Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree in Business or a related field is preferred.
5. Strong desire to thrive in a dynamic, entrepreneurial work environment.
6. Experience collaborating with senior management.
7. Aptitude for understanding and articulating how products and solutions address business challenges.
8. Ability to devise effective sales strategies and navigate complex, high-profile agreements.
9. Exceptional organisational abilities, capable of synthesising information and customer requirements for effective communication with the delivery team.
10. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
11. Willingness to travel approximately 30% of the time.
